So, I have not had internet access the way I had hoped prior to this, so blogging was not realistic until now. My challenge now is to make this a habit!
I am only down to 215 pounds. I have not put much effort into it, though. Making a plan is necessary and moving and now being farther from the grocery store has not helped things; however, it has certainly helped the financial side of things as I found a job where housing is included. No more monthly rent payments. What a blessing!
So, my finances are falling in line and now that the chaos of moving, chaperoning sports trips, & house-sitting for friends is done, I'm slowly developing a routine and am excited to make exercise a part of it. Each Wednesday I have a cleaning job, so that gets me moving for a couple of hours. I'd like to start using my 30-minute walking DVD on the other weekdays.
As far as food….I still don't have a good plan. I have the option of a fresh salad each evening. Then to save money, I could just eat the food that I already have in the house, (soups, oatmeal, granola, & protein shakes) but it probably won't help me lose weight unless I really limit the amount I consume. That is one of my biggest challenges, but one that I need to face! I'm getting ready to pull out some of my books on diets and nutrition, so I can make a good plan.
And the scripture memory? I'd fallen behind during the chaos of the last month, but have now caught up! :)
Overall, life is fabulous! I may not be losing weight yet, but I LOVE my job and am slowly growing closer to the Lord, so I feel tremendously blessed!
