Wednesday, March 23rd

 9:00 AM - peach yogurt (6 oz)
10:30 AM - one popsicle
11:45 AM - two salads (mixed greens, sliced almonds, oil & vinegar, feta cheese, & tomatoes)
12:50 PM - jello & a popsicle
4:30 PM - broccoli & hummus
4:45 PM - an entire bag of plain M&Ms   (I've been SO hungry and it's like the food I've been eating is just not satisfying.    I need to look at my diet again and see what other foods I should add in

Measurements...

I probably should measure myself again, but I'm going to be a busy, busy woman from now until Sunday.   Besides, I'm pretty much at a stand-still/plateau with my weight loss.   I'm hovering around 180 and I've NOT been exercising, so I don't know that there will be any significant changes.   Still, eventually, I'll get more measurements just to compare and track progress.  I need to keep moving forward.

Tuesday, March 22nd

8:30 - cinnamon roll  (NOT on my diet, but a gift)
9:00 - another cinnamon roll
No morning snacks....Work kept me very busy!

1:00 - cauliflower & hummus
1:15 - TWO 6 oz. yogurts
3:20 - MANY frozen grapes
3:40 - one popsicle
6:00 - I was SOOOOO hungry...my tummy was growling.   I ate a 3-egg omelete with cheddar cheese and cilantro, with a touch of tandoori masala seasoning.  YUMMY!     I also ate a whole sweet potato with butter, 2 Fudgesicles, and several frozen grapes between 6-8PM.
8:20 - one popsicle

10PMish - 1 creamsicle and a whole can of black olives    (I was so hungry today!)

Saturday, March 19th

Did not sleep well last night due to the falling out...  Got a text this morning from an old friend, so that was nice.   Then I stayed in bed, dozing off and on, until 10AM.

10:15 AM - omelet (3 eggs, chicken, chz, cilantro)
NOON - 2 popsicles  & several grapes
 2:30 PM - 6 oz. yogurt
 4:30 PM - cottage cheese & one popsicle
 6:00 PM - cinnamon roll (a gift from a friend) & a popsicle
10:45 PM - another cinnamon roll (NOT diet food)
11:30 PM - 2 popsicles

Worked all day long to try and clean my office.

Friday, March 18th

 8:45 AM - omelet (3 eggs, chicken, cheddar cheese, & cilantro)
 9:45 AM - half of a pear
10:30 AM - other half of the pear
11:30 AM - fudgesicle
11:40 AM - 6 oz. yogurt
 1:25 PM - 9 almonds
 4:00 PM - 9 more almonds

Rest of night I ate more "diet" food....cottage cheese, jello, 2 more fudgesicles.  

(Bad night...miscommunication with a friend that can't seem to be worked out.)

Thursday, March 17th

 8:45 AM - 6 oz. yogurt
 9:30 AM - jello
10:30 AM - apple
11:15 AM - fudgesicle
12:05 PM - Salad (mixed greens, grilled chicken, feta cheese, almonds, oil & vinegar)  & a fudgesicle
 1:30 PM - Another salad  & fudgesicle  (I was feeling very hungry!!!)
 3:00 PM - ???? snacked???  (OK...only South Beach Diet Phase Two food)
 6:00 PM - Another salad, lots of cauliflower with hummus, and then slices of grilled chicken w/hummus
10:00 PM - THREE Go-gurts    (This was emotional eating...waiting for a call.)

1:00 PM - Salad (mixed greens, oil & vinegar dressing, feta cheese, almonds, cauliflower), cottage cheese, & a fudgesicle
2:40 PM - jello
6:00 PM - Salad (mixed greens, grilled chicken strips, oil & vinegar dressing, feta cheese, almonds, cauliflower)
7:15 PM - jello

Monday, March 14th

I didn't get up until 7:30 this morning, so I got plenty of sleep!

WEIGHT at 7:45 AM was 177 pounds!

  8:30 AM - 6 oz. strawberry yogurt
11:00 AM -  8 to 10 almonds and 2 popsicles
11:30 AM - cottage cheese (fat free) & salad (mixed greens with chicken, cheddar chz, almonds, and oild & vinegar)
12:50 PM - 2 popsicles
 2:30 PM - more cottage cheese & a small slice of pumpkin pie (In honor of Pi Day!)
 6:00 PM - Salad & 2 popsicles
 9:00 PM - another salad   (Emotional eating....I was upset & sad about a few things.)

OK, so later I was still sad & disappointed, so much so that I couldn't sleep.    I gave in and had 6 oz. of yogurt around 11 PM.   Even later, around midnight, I pulled the left over fettucini from the fridge, warmed it up and ate it.   That was a lot of food.   I actually started feeling sick towards the end of it.    Simply put, at this point, I DON'T CARE.



Sunday, March 13th

After the long snowmachine ride yesterday and then moving the clock forward, combined with the lack of sleep the night before due to a few middle-of-the-night phone calls, I am feeling TIRED and my eyes are really showing it.   (I think it's mostly from being in the cold air all day yesterday, but my right eye is especially puffy and bloodshot.)

10:00 AM - Omelet (2 eggs, chicken, cheese, and cilantro)
12:30 PM - Went out with a friend  and ate Fettucini Alfredo w/chicken
 4:00 PM - one Fudgesicle
 4:30 PM - one Vitamin Water  (I've been drinking only water since mid-January.)


I woke up with a headache and took 2 Tylenol around 10AM.  By the time I was eating lunch, I could feel it again, but it was too soon to take more medicine, so I tried to ignore it.    Later around 5, I was feeling terrible, so I left a friend's house  (where she'd made a nice dinner, but the thought of eating just made me feel a wee bit sick) to go home, take more Tylenol, and lay in bed with my eyes covered.    After awhile I subsided, so I got up and did a bit of laundry, but then I was exhausted and back in bed and asleep by 8PM.


Saturday, March 12th

10:30 AM - omelet (3 eggs with chicken,  cheddar cheese, and cilantro)

Went out on a LONG snowmachine ride to the mountains to see caribou.

12:30PM - Peanut butter and jelly sandwich  and a Snickers bar
 8:00 PM - White fish, half a baked potato with butter, and lots of Orange Sherbert

Friday, March 11th

 8:30 AM - 2 Gogurts
11:30 AM - salad
12:05 PM - 2 popsicles
 6:00 PM - salad & 2 popsicles

Thursday, March 10th

 9:00 AM - Omelet

11:05 AM - banana
 1:30 PM - Salad with chicken
 7:00 PM - broccoli & hummus
11:30 PM - 3 Creamsicles

Wednesday, March 9th

 7:30 AM - Omelet
 8:45 AM - Fudgesicle
10:00 AM - Fudgesicle (& Tylenol)
12:30 PM- broccoli with hummus and 1/4 of a sweet potato
 2:00 PM - Fudgesicle & popsicle

Tuesday, March 8th

 5:30 AM- 2 egg omelet
 8:30 AM- 6 oz. cherry yogurt
 9:15 AM - half a yam with butter
12:10 PM- broccoli with cheese
 1:00 PM - Salad (iceberg, spinach, almonds, cheddar chz, oil & vinegar)
 2:15 PM - 2 fudgesicles
???????? - 1 more fudgesicle and 4 small containers of jello
6:15 PM - popsicle

Monday, March 7th

 8:50 AM - 6 oz. cherry yogurt
11:15 AM - an apple
 1:30 PM - Salad, two Laughing Cow Creamy Swiss Cheese slices, 2 fudgesicles
 6:00 PM- one Laughing Cow slice & 3 popsicles   (Headache...between my eyebrows)
Later that night - 2 omelets  (2 eggs each with cilantro and cheddar cheese)

Missing Days

Sooooo.....I've been horrible at keeping up with my blog lately for a variety of reasons, BUT, the good news is that I've stayed on my diet for the most part.   I've been doing The South Beach Diet for awhile and am in Phase 2.     I've only strayed from it a few times like last Saturday when a student brought me 4 chocolate chip cookies, and last Monday when a coworker made some cookies for me also.   ( I think I had about 4 of those also, and gave the rest away.)       On Thursday, March 3rd, I hit the 20 pounds mark.    The scale read 180!!!!


Now, I've had a girls' weekend and pigged out.   It'll be interesting to see what the scale says when I get back home.    I guess I'm not too worried.  I plan to start my diet again on Monday!
